Michael Christopher is a co-founder and Managing Director at Elemental Methods, LLC, where he directs the sales and delivery of the firm’s Information Technology projects. Prior to founding Elemental Methods, Mr. Christopher led an IBM consulting practice supporting Travel and Transportation clients, and was responsible for the implementation of automated ticketing systems and self-service kiosks in passenger service environments. He also led the development of airline corporate sales applications and airline crew and equipment scheduling applications using linear programming and optimization technologies. Working with Retail and Distribution clients, Mr. Christopher led the implementation of Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP) systems and customer service solutions. He retired from IBM after a thirty-year career specializing in the development and implementation of complex IT solutions in multiple industry segments.

At Elemental Methods, Mr. Christopher is leading the firm’s consulting and application development efforts involving the integration of mobile technology with enterprise systems and business processes. He has managed the development of mobile applications on Apple (iOS), Android, and BlackBerry platforms, in addition to managing the development of technology prototypes involving scanning technologies and satellite communications.

In 2011, Mr. Christopher led the development of the “iSnapper” application at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. The project involved the development of iPhone and iPad applications for reporting catch information in the for-hire fishing industry during red snapper season in the Gulf of Mexico. This summer,  Mr. Christopher is leading the development of the new “Angler Action” system for the Snook and Gamefish Foundation. The “Angler Action” web portal and smartphone applications will be used to capture recreational catch information for fisheries management and research.

Mr. Christopher has been active in the information technology field for over thirty-one years with a primary focus on the implementation and support of hardware and software solutions in standalone and distributed environments, particularly in the transportation, distribution, retail, and construction industries.  He is credentialed as a "Project Management Professional" (PMP®) by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
